APATHY
I’ll forgive you
for your Apathy
If you promise not to choke
On all the kisses meant to heal
and the words you never spoke
If it was lust that drew you here
I hope it was enough
You’ve lost this gardens greatest gift
Of fortitude and love
If it was fearI’ll pray for you
And hope it calms your spirit
In lack of Care resentment breeds
This union cannot bare it
To rape the vine of tender care
Stifles growth and life
this is a garden meant to quench
The soul with it’s delights
Tangled in her own betrayal
Apathy holds fast
An empty place
where beauty Feeds
On life that cannot last
Think again, and open
The womans Foremost blessing
Reach beyond
Bring to life
Cast off this oppression.
